The Greenbrier 4-H club met at Landus Co-op in Jefferson, on Monday, March 11. For roll call, everybody was to tell about something good that happened to them in the past week. The Young Leaders reported that they were having their 4-H beef burger supper fundraiser at the Presbyterian Church with a silent auction.
Old business: Greenbrier’s April meeting was canceled and YQCA training needs to be done online or face to face if you are showing livestock at the fair. New business: Contact the Extension office if you are interested in 4-H camp or State 4-H Conference.
The recreation game was to separate the Pull ‘n’ Peel licorice without using your hands. 4-H presentations were done by Dakota Ostrander on how to make party pretzel mix, Colton Mobley gave one on his baseball card collection, Arthur Bardole on the DNA of a strawberry, Cody Stephenson gave one on the invention of basketball, Aden Bardole on harvesting corn by hand in America, and Elise Badger gave one on how to make a St. Patrick’s Day snack. Greenbrier’s next meeting will be on April 8 at 7 pm at Landus Co-op.

Old business: Last month was the Greenbrier 4-H basketball tournament. New business: There is going to be a zoo trip for any 5th, 6th, and 7th graders that are interested. Sheep and goat weigh-in is May 4t. Rabbit tattooing and poultry testing is also May 4h. Livestock ID’s are due by May 15 and needs to be done online.
Everybody participated in the recreation game of seeing who could be the first group to pass a paper ball down a line and back the fastest. 4-H presentations were done by Bailey & Becca Anderson on origami and Caden Etherton did one on welding. Greenbrier’s next meeting will be on May 13 at 7 pm at Landus Co-op. (Bailey Anderson, reporter)
